The Dimplex OFRC20Tic oil free heater incorporates a 24-hour electronic timer, this enables daily heating needs to be programmed in advance. A manual override enables the heater to provide instant heat during an “off” period without affecting the pre-set programme.

This heater is easy to set up and very effective - it heats up a 10' x 14' room no problem. Cost about 60p for 8 hours. Just a couple annoying design flaws: There is a handle on the side panel with the controls so you can pull it to move it, but the power cable comes out of that side too, so you have to be careful not to pull it over the cable and get caught up with it. Also it means if you want it extended out into the middle of the room, the controls face back towards the wall, not on the 'front' as you'd expect. Then for carrying it, there is a place to put your hand to pick it up on one side but not the other, so you have to hold it from the bottom on the other side, which means you can't carry it when it is still hot (which I know probably isn't a good idea anyway, but I wanted to move it downstairs before it has cooled). I wouldn't let these design flaws stop you buying one but I'd like the manufacturer to fix them for the next edition!
