The RDT Combined Thermostat and Safety Cut-Out provides a combined temperature control and independent over-temperature cut-out facility suitable for use in domestic immersion heaters.

First impressions were bad - the part was covered in fingerprints and the electrical terminal screw heads were noticeably rounded. I suspect that it had been returned by a previous customer and restocked. However, it comes with a 2-year warranty, so I was willing to take a chance on installing it anyway. It's been working correctly for 5 days so far.
