Thermo Group UK Thermoprotect EZ frost protection trace heating cable have been specifically designed for protecting metal piping and guttering against low temperatures and the risk of freezing where variable heat and length is required as the cable can be cut using the Thermo Group Repair Kit.
Thermoprotect EZ is an intelligent self regulating cable with a variable output rated at 10w/m at 10c. This means that the cable can react to differences in temperature all the way along it’s length and maintain an even temperature even if one end of the pipe is frozen and one is not.
This feature is particularly useful for pipes that run from inside to out or water tanks that require complete protection, but have particularly vulnerable areas.
In addition to protecting metal piping from freezing, the Thermoprotect cables can be used for other applications including trace heating for use in gutters and around gulleys to prevent freezing and snow build up.
N.B. 2 meter up to 10 meter lengths are supplied as kits, 75 meter is drum/reel only and requires the Termination / Connection Kit (SKU: 5672) listed below.
