This unique system can automatically control a wide range of individual zones in living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms which include other heat sources and electrical appliances – table lights, hot water systems or smart home electronics.
Operation and range
The Orion 700 sends out radio signals to receivers that turn appliances on and off or keep temperatures within preset levels. The system is very flexible and can manage up to 100 zones independently of each other. Additionally, due to the capability of the Orion 700, all its receivers also work as transmitters, automatically relaying signals on to other receivers.
Two-way communication
The receivers report a ‘completed task’ and send the status back to the transmitter. By doing this the Orion 700 constantly checks and verifies that the receiver is responding to each signal.
Receivers
Receivers are built into the thermostats for the Series 8 and Series 14 panel heaters. For the control of other equipment and appliances a variety of other receivers are available.
